Bojak My Gracious Girl

Grace was always on the horizon to join Leo and I, and Lionheart Border Collies. We were originally waiting for a female pup out of a particular breeding from Leo’s breeder. I made a trip back to Australia, planned to take on a little girl and prepare her to come home with me. Unfortunately the litter I was waiting for had no girls for us. I was saddened by the news but continued our search and contacted another breeder I admired. Caroline of Bojak Border Collies was wonderful when I introduced myself and shared my interest in her lines and breeding experience. After much discussion I travelled interstate to meet her recent litters. The first girl I went to see was lovely but after looking into the pups further, was recommended another little girl. This lady was energetic and fiery. She’d bound around punking her brothers and sisters while being soft and sweet to people. She had that extra drive I was hoping for, with a mix of sugar and spice and all things nice. We had her health tested and she came back all clear on her DNA profile, so it was an easy choice from there.

Grace joined our family in February 2020, just before the COVID pandemic exploded. Due to the state of the world, we didn’t know when we’d be able to return to the US. This was such an uncertain, heartbreaking time, to be separated from my partner and my boy Leo. It became 15 months before we could return home. In this time, Grace and I were able to build a beautiful relationship. She gave me the purpose and love I needed in a difficult year. She truly was my saving Grace.

Grace has a wonderful character and spirit. She too would assist in training with client’s dogs, was a social butterfly and was with me everywhere I went. She’s a little mischievous, has attitude and completely melts when she sees people. Her sweet nature is irresistible and high energy makes her fun to train with.
